On 13 June 2023, Dr ENOW Abrams EGBE, Chairperson of the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroon, granted audience to a Commonwealth delegation led by Evelyn Pederson, Head of Strategy, Evaluation and Learning at the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Discussions during the meeting focused on measures taken by ELECAM to ensure the holding of inclusive, peaceful, transparent and credible elections, as well as ELECAM's expectations from the Commonwealth with a view to improving the electoral process in Cameroon.

The Head of Mission, Evelyn Pederson, accompanied by her team, revealed that the visit was also part of an evaluation of the Organisation's commitment to Cameroon.

At the end of the audience, members of the Electoral Board and the Director General of Elections, Dr Erik Essousse, through the Chairperson of the Electoral Board, thanked Commonwealth for the constant support provided to Elections Cameroon in the management of Cameroon's electoral process.
