Election of Senators 2018: 1st solemn hearing of the Constitutional Council

With 07 days in advance of the legal deadlines in force, the Constitutional Council met this Thursday, March 15, 2018 for the first time at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé to examine the six files relating to pre-electoral disputes for the Senators election of March 25, 2018.

Indeed, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code in Article 131 (1), this institution had ten days from its referral to clear pre-electoral disputes.

At the end of the works on March 15, 2018, of the six applications submitted, four were rejected for lack of quality applicants, a withdrawal was recorded for the case of Adamaoua, and a referral scheduled on March 19, 2018 with appearance of the candidate from the relevant CPDM list.
