This first ordinary session of the Electoral Board was devoted, among others, to presenting the quarterly activity report of the Electoral Board from January to March 2023; to examining and adopting the 2022 administrative account of Elections Cameroon, to the management of the 2022 special appropriation of the Electoral Board and to the terms of reference of the next field trip of Electoral Board members.
In his opening remarks, the Chairperson of the Electoral Board informed the audience that since the onset of the revision exercise, Elections Cameroon statistics show 103,220 newly registered electors as at 31 March 2023, among whom 37,856 are women, 75,582 are youths and 124 are people living with disabilities.
Now that the election of senators is over, Elections Cameroon teams are mobilised and are redoubling their efforts in the massive registration of citizens on the electoral register.
For Dr. Enow Abrams Egbe, the objectives and priorities of Elections Cameroon are already looking ahead to the 2023-2025 electoral cycle, with the next elections on the horizon.
