Mrs AMUGU née ABENA EKOBENA Appoline Marie, Vice-President of the Electoral Board

Right up to 1 February 2016, she was Inspector General of Services in the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, until her retirement.

Born on 21 November 1958 in Yaounde, she hails from the Centre Region.

Married and mother of 6 (six) children, she is holder of a Certificat d’aptitude au professorat d’éducation physique et sportive (CAPEPS), obtained at the National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS) of Yaounde in 1983. She is equally holder of a postgraduate diploma and a diplôme d’études approfondies (DEA) in sociology of adult education, obtained in 1989 and in 1990 respectively. Before becoming Inspector General of Services on 19 February 2009, this certified sports and physical education instructor had been Technical Adviser No.2 in the same ministry. Before then, she had been Pedagogic Inspector in the central services of this ministry. She is also Knight of the Order of Valour.

She took oath before the Supreme Court, seating as the Constitutional Council in 2017: “I swear to fully and faithfully discharge my duties and to exercise my office without fear or favour in accordance with the Constitution and laws in force, to ensure the confidentiality of proceedings and votes, to abstain from taking public positions and to decline any consultation on matters falling under the purview of Elections Cameroon”
