Born on 31 December 1958 at BOKORO, Haman DAIROU who hails from the Diamaré Division, Far North Region in the Republic of Cameroon, is married and father of 4 (four) children.

After postgraduate studies at the Advanced National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM), he joined the civil service as civil administrator in 1984.

Prior to his appointment to the Electoral Board on 21 April 2016, this senior civil administrator super scale has held the following positions:

  • Chief of Cabinet at the Governor’s Office in the Adamawa Province, from 1985 to 1991;
  • 1st Assistant Senior Divisional Officer for Poli (Faro-North), from 1991 to1992;
  • Sub-Divisional Officer for Tcholliré and Figuil, from 1992 to 1998 and from 1998 to 2003 respectively;
  • Senior Divisional Officer for Vina in Ngaoundéré and for Haut-Nkam in the West Region, from 2005 to 2010 and from 2010 to 2012 respectively;
  • Inspector General of Regional Services for the South-West in Buea, from 2016 to 2016.

He took oath before the Supreme Court, seating as the Constitutional Council in 2016: “I swear to fully and faithfully discharge my duties and to exercise my office without fear or favour in accordance with the Constitution and laws in force, to ensure the confidentiality of proceedings and votes, to abstain from taking public positions and to decline any consultation on matters falling under the purview of Elections Cameroon”
