Electoral process:the Electoral Board fine tunes strategies

The second ordinary session of the ElectoralBoard held onThursday,27 June 2019atHôtel Mont Fébé, starting from 10 am, in regard to extension of the mandate of Members of Parliament and Municipal Councillors

Section 18 of the Electoral Code specifies that the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroon holds 4 (four) ordinary sessions each year. Mindful of this legal provision, thesecond ordinary session of the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroonmet, this Thursday, 27 June 2019, at HôtelMont Fébé,presided by the Chairperson of the Electoral Board, ENOW Abrams EGBE.The deliberations centred on examinationand adoption of proceedings of the sessions ofSeptember andDecember 2018 and of 15 March 2019, the progress report of the DirectorateGeneral of Elections, evaluation of the degree of execution of resolutionsadopted by the Electoral Board, presentation of new provisions of theElectoral Code, among others. Deliberations equally focused on extension of the mandate of Members of Parliament and Municipal Councillors. In his opening statement, the Chairperson of the Electoral Boardseized the opportunity to callon his fellow members of the Board as well as stakeholders of the electoral process in our countryfor greater commitment during the traditional field trips of Members of the Electoral Board.
