Elections Cameroon receives performance prize in 2019 DEMOFEM Awards

As part of the Support Project for the Massive Political Participation of Women in the upcoming 2019 elections, the association "More women in Politics" in collaboration with the European Union organised on Monday, 8 April 2019, a parliamentary-advocacy dinner. The main goal of this ceremony was to establish an effective law on parity in elective positions in Cameroon.

One of the highlights of this event was the presentation of the "2019 DEMOFEM AWARDS” which recognises excellence and performance of people in their efforts to promote women's leadership in politics.

In this light, the Chairperson of the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroon, Enow Abrams Egbe, was awarded a Performance Prize for promoting gender in Cameroon.

In addition, several women like Célestine KETCHA COURTES, Minister of Housing and Urban Development and former mayor for the Bangangté Municipal council, availed the opportunity to share their experiences during these awards.
